This includes utility-related services such as trenching, backfill, and covered utility functions, all performed in compliance with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) safety and regulatory standards.

Manuel Bernal | CEO & Licensed General Engineer

Manuel Bernal is the CEO of Bernal Builders and a licensed Class A General Engineer and Class B General Contractor with over 20 years of experience in construction and project management. He holds an Associate of Science in Construction Management, a Certificate in Building Construction Inspection, and completed specialized training through the Turner School of Construction Management.

Manuel is recognized for overseeing complex projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Outside of work, he enjoys mentoring future builders, supporting community initiatives, staying active through fitness, and playing golf.

Vanessa Bernal

Vanessa Bernal is the Vice President and Executive Administrator at Bernal Builders, bringing over 10 years of experience in business operations and project management. She holds an Associate’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Construction Project Management, combining technical expertise with strong leadership skills. Vanessa excels at streamlining operations, coordinating projects, and ensuring client and team needs are met with efficiency and care.

Outside of work, she is family-oriented, enjoys fitness and wellness, and is passionate about continuous learning and professional growth.
